Giving Thanks at Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is much more than a day to eat turkey. It can mean many things for many people. For me, it's about giving thanks to God for His gift of salvation through Jesus and for the many blessing we have received.

What does it mean for you and your circle of loved ones? Be sure to keep that as your main focus as you are planning all the details for your gatherings and get-togethers.

I found a neat and meaningful way families and friends can express their thankfulness, love and gratitude at Thanksgiving.

Check out this great Thanksgiving idea at Flipflops and Applesauce.

Found this Thanks Giving Tree at Skip to My Lou. You have to check this! So neat.

Make and Takes has lot of ideas for you.

Do you have a Thanksgiving idea that promotes giving thanks on your blog? Let me know about it and I'll add it to the list.

That's a cute idea! :) We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia but there's nothing wrong about doing something similar to this anyway :)

I always do a Thanksgiving post on what I'm thankful for every year. I ask others to do the same or comment about what they are grateful for.

That's a cute idea and one I've not yet come across. :-) I think this year I'm going to have everyone share what they are most grateful this year right after our dinner's grace.

That is such a cute idea!
I will miss our usual Thanksgiving tradition this year.....we would go to hubby's aunt's house in Chicago. It was a wonderful day, and we always gathered round the kitchen, held hands in a big circle, and each stated what we were thankful for. It was such a loving time....we will have to start our own tradition this year!

I LOVE that idea! A great reminder about what the day is really about. We usually go around the table right before we eat and everyone says what they're grateful for that year.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. All the focus is on the food and family. No gifts. Love it.
