Quick Organizing: Declutter Your Closet

Do you feel like you just don't have a lot time to devote to organizing? No problem! You can schedule mini organizing session to tackle small projects.

I've come up with 8 simple home organizing projects that you can do in 20 minutes or less.

Project #5
Get rid of 10-20 items from your closet that you haven't worn in the last 6-12 months.

I did this a few months ago and I don't miss anything I got rid of! And I can actually find the clothes that I do wear easily! Great tip!

How does this work if you've been pregnant or nursing for the past 12 months? :) Still, a great tip.

Great question! I am going through the same phase right now. I am due in 2 months so this tip doesn’t really work right now. I would say once you are back into your ‘normal’ clothing, take time to look through everything. Is there anything you won’t wear anymore? Do you have items that you can pass on, donate or put in storage-such as maternity clothes? Another tip that works for many is when a new item comes in, take an old item out. Of course if there are clothes that you weren’t wearing before your pregnancy, perhaps those items can go to give you more space.
