Make sure to label as much as possible when organizing. This can sound minor but this step can be very helpful. Imagine taking the time to get items organized and stored away in containers. Months or a years later, you want to retrieve something. How many containers will you have to go through to find what you are looking for? When things are labeled, you don't have rely on your memory so much - I like that!
Labels also help with items used on a daily basis. Labeling not only helps you to retrieve items quickly but it also makes returning items to their home that much easier. Labels work great for children's toys and belongings. I create toy custom labels for my private clients; each label has the word, a colored picture and is laminated.Having the word and picture is especially useful for pre-readers and those just learning to read. But these labels also help out the babysitter and maybe Dad, too. Kids aren’t the only ones who shove and stuff thing where they don’t belong.
Labeling helps to retrieve and return items to their homes quickly. It works for me.

I use my label maker for so many things. There's just something so great about being able to know what exactly is in "that box" without opening it. My husband might say that I overuse my label maker, but I'm not sure if that is possible! :)
I label EVERYTHING! I use both my label maker and my computer to make labels.
Ooh, I need to get another label maker. I had one at the office, but when I went to pack up my desk after maternity leave somebody had swiped it!

I should get one of those! Or at least make some home-made labels. All the kids' stuff is so disorganized and a label on all the containers would really help! Also I like the idea of laminating them so they don't get ruined!
I love labels, especially for my binders and office files. I've considered putting them on plastic drawers and containers too, but I hate the thought of having to re-label any time I decide to re-organize.
I think the reason we don't have a label maker in this house is because I would label absolutely every single thing in it, including the kids and Nate.
And myself, for those occasions when I lose my mind and can't remember who I am.
