Distractions: Did You Know?

According to a recent study, it take an individual on average, 23 minutes to get back to a task after an interruption?

No wonder moms often feel like they are busy all day but don't always feel they get stuff done. Can you relate? What do you do to cut down on the interruptions?

Boy oh boy, does that sound like me! I'm always being interrupted. Drives me crazy. That's why I believe becoming more organzied is going to help me out.

I interupt myself because I am so scattered. I am working on this. After reading your post about how much time I'm wasting I'll really work on it.

I try to do all my blogging during the day when the kids are in school because at night, all it IS is just one big interruption.

CJ-
I hear you on that! I still have lapses and try to do “just one thing” and it just ends in stress!

WOW! That long? No wonder I can't get anything done.

I don't even bother trying to cut down on interruptions at this point. I just work in bursts when I get a moment. Planning is out the door! As time goes by, I'll work when the kids are in preschool & the like.

Yes, I can relate to "when the kids are in school". I find I have to pull myself back on certain projects or commitments. Priorities!
